What does "browsing views" mean?

I think we should put a link to Ruffin's 3 panes view theme over here.

In fact it's a rather unfortunate term I've come up to describe Feed, Folder, Category and Tag views (e.g. different kinds of item lists) --Marco 08:47, 10 Sep 2005 (CEST)
